Model High School was founded in 1990 in order to develop a school and philosophy that recognizes each child as a unique learner. Where each young adult is seen as an individual, independent student. Where students actively participate in the formation of their educational experience.
Model High School offers personalized education programs that fuel and ignite a student’s passion for learning. Model is offered as a part-time program for Andover and Lahser high school students. Those in grades 10-12 can select two, four or six classes at MHS each semester, with the credits being applied to their Andover or Lahser graduation requirements. Model is an NCA accredited special purpose school, is fully supported by the Board of Education and has received recognition from outside sources such as CNN.
